Intuitive and responsive the cloud functionality is a bonus and that it works across a wide range of peripherals is ideal.

We are big fans of the Synapse software and it continues to perform well for us. We can even control detail such as having the scroll wheel and thumb buttons light independently. As for lighting, as always with Razer Chroma products it is nice and bright with loads of configuration options across a wide range of colours (16.8m). There is an argument that all Naga should have the replaceable panels and we would like to see that too, however we also appreciate that this adds cost to the mouse and that may not be ideal for the majority of users.

We noted no issues with the finish or construction of the mouse and each button, and especially left/right, give a satisfying click when actioned. The Naga has evolved over the years to be an incredibly comfortable mouse to hold and the finish used here provides both decent grip and durability. Starting with the build quality and design of the Naga Chroma we have a mouse which immediately feels familiar and that is a good thing. The ability to create complex Macro’s is also available and we can track stats in a separate app to help identify our playing style and tweak it as appropriate. The Naga also supports in-game overlay which lets us see our configuration and tweak it without leaving the game, a great extension of the software. Profiles are available for Razer surfaces and we can build one for 3rd party mats. Razer also allow us to calibrate our mouse to the surface we use. This being a Chroma product means we get 16.8m colours and effects such as cycling and pulsing. Looking around the software we can configure all of the buttons, speed, profiles, lift off (0.1mm) and of course lighting.

Synapse also features cloud functionality to store settings, so using the Naga Chroma as an example, when we first launched the app it informed us we could download the settings we used on the 2014 Naga. It is an application which is compatible with a wide range of modern Razer products and we can switch between them using the product images at the base of the screen. Razer Naga Chroma Review – SoftwareĪs we would expect from a Razer product, the Naga Chroma uses the Synapse software for configuration. The sensor is a 16000 DPI model with Razer noting 210 IPS/50G acceleration and 1000Hz ultrapolling/1ms response time. Finally we have the USB connector, gold plated, which is attached to a 2.1m braided cable. On the base of the Naga Chroma are three low friction feet and an information sticker. On the right side we find a contoured area which lets our fingers sit comfortably on the mouse and there is a rubber pad to add a little grip to the mouse. Looking round to the left of the mouse in the thumb area we find the Naga’s key design feature, those twelve mechanical buttons which like the rest of the mouse can be re-mapped. Turning the mouse round we can see the front grills that provide some added style and that the cable exits from the centre of the mouse. The dimensions of the Naga Chroma are 119x75x43mm. This is a right handed mouse and this top surface has a scroll wheel (with tilt function), two DPI buttons and a Razer logo. The Naga Chroma uses a textured, hard surface for the palm area, extending onto the main mouse buttons. The front opens up to reveal the mouse beneath plastic inside and bundled with it is a set of product leaflets and Razer stickers. The Naga Chroma arrives in a fairly standard Razer box which gives us a nice clear image of the mouse on the front along with some decent product info on the other sides. Razer Naga Chroma Review – Packaging and Bundle Today we take a look at the most recent revision in our Razer Naga Chroma Review. Since then the Naga has received a number of tweaks, slightly different body, changeable panels, or not, different lighting effects and if we remember correctly a different finish too. When Razer released the original Naga a few years ago it was very well received by the gaming community, in fact we can only remember one other mouse (the original WoW branded mouse) causing a bigger stir in recent times.
